Tanya of Design Action Studios | Orange County Business Portraits

It is a new year for all of us, so why not put your best face forward.  Recently, Tanya of Design Action Studios contacted us to do an updated business portrait for use on her website and all of her social media accounts.  I just love going to Twitter or FaceBook and seeing a profile photo that we shot!  🙂  It is important for your business to create a brand and stick to it!  I mean this is what you are going to be all about, right?  Depending on your type of business, you may display a head shot of yourself.  This way people can recognize who you are as a business owner and develop a trust in your services.  This is where we come in!  If you need a professional head shot or want to update your current one, please contact us!  We would love to help.

We had a great session with Tanya.  She is a very easy-going person who likes to have fun!  I think it is the creativity in us, we just love what we do!  Tanya is a fabulous graphic designer.  She has worked on several projects with us for Sipper Photography and we just love her work.  Design Action Studios is a full service creative studio for all of your brand identity and marketing needs.  Make sure you stop by and check her out at Design Action Studios.  Hope you enjoy the photos of this fabulous lady, thanks Tanya!  Cheers, J+D

My 35th B-Day by Dana

Today I am celebrating my 35th birthday, Happy Birthday to me! I guess I am officially in my mid 30’s as of today. The hubby jokes with me that I am getting old and I sigh, but I know it is only in fun and out of love. He is just kidding with me, so I don’t really take it to heart. Besides, he is a month and a day older than me, so he will always be the older one!

Over the last month I have been looking back on my life all that I have accomplished and all that I look forward to. We hear it every day that time is flying by, and well, it is! We truly have to embrace every moment because life is a gift. I am so thankful for all of the wonderful people in my life. I love all of my family and friends and I try to let them know as often as I can how much they mean to me.

I want to send a big thank you to my mom for giving birth to me and making this day possible. Words can’t describe what this woman means to me. She has always been the anchor in our family and such a strong supporter in my life. When I wanted to move to California 10 years ago, she was sad, but let me go because she knew I had to find my way and follow my dreams. Until this day, she still supports me and loves me for all that am and all that I will be. Thanks mom for all you do, I love you very much!

As I chased those dreams more than 3,000 miles away from home, I was scared, but they led me to the most wonderful man in the world, my husband, Jeff. He has always been there for me, since the day we said our vows. I love him dearly. Today, tomorrow, and forever. I thank him for standing by me through it all and sharing this wonderful passion we have with our photography. We truly love what we do.  I feel it is a part of my soul and has been for many years.

This morning, I had this overwhelming feeling that my Dad was watching down on me with so much pride. As I turn another year older, I will continue to walk through life and take in every moment. I feel blessed every day to have love and passion in my life. I love what I do and I am so thankful that I have all of you to share it with.

As part of my birthday celebration, I had Jeff take a few photos of me, so I can always remember who I am today and how far I have come. From the smiles you will see how very happy I am.  I get that from my dad, he was always so happy go lucky. I am excited for the years to come, as all I can do from here is continue to grow, love, and just be ME!

A special thanks goes out to Kristin at The Meringue Bake Shop for my lovely red velvet cupcakes I got for my birthday.  They look so yummy because they really are.  Cheers to all!

Emmi’s First Birthday | Orange County Family Photographer

Happy New Year to all of you! It has been a busy holiday season and after a lot of fabulous moments with family, friends, clients and many miles driven (we traveled about 1500 miles over the week of Christmas and New Year’s), we welcome 2010.

Yesterday, I attended my first yoga class of 2010. My instructor shared a little point that another student brought to her attention that I would like to share with all of you. “It is not just a New Year we are starting but a New Decade of our lives!”  Not only was my yoga class great but I walked away with a wonderful outlook for this new year.

We are really looking forward to a fabulous new year as our business continues to grow. Our family and friends are so important to us and we wish all of them much happiness and success in 2010. Speaking of family, we celebrated our dear niece Emmi’s first birthday on New Year’s Eve. Here are a few photos I wanted to share from her birthday celebration, I can’t believe Miss Emmi is already a year old!

Cheers to a fabulous 2010! J+D

Christmas Eve, Jonson+Samantha+Three | Orange County Family Photographer

I am so excited it is Christmas Eve! We will be heading out this afternoon to Chandler, Arizona to spend Christmas with my mom, uncle and sisters. Before we head out though, I wanted to make sure I got to this post.  As I promised 5 days ago, I was going to do a holiday portrait session post each day until Christmas and I am one to keep my word. This post features Jonson, Samantha, Sophia, August and Tatiana. If you are wondering, yes they are triplets! I saved this one for last because I felt that it was quite an accomplishment, I mean we got triplets to not only cooperate for their holiday photos, but just look absolutely adorable as well. We first met the family on Halloween when we shot their one year birthday celebration and were so happy they asked us to do their holiday portrait as well.  We look forward to watching these three grow and just want to wish them all a very happy holidays season! Cheers, J+D
