Happy 4th Birthday Amy!

This blog is for Princess Amy…wishing her a very Happy Birthday! I had the opportunity to take Amy’s picture a couple months ago with her parents, now we got to share a birthday with her. It is nice to become a part of peoples lives and share these special times with them. Here are some moments from her Minnie Mouse birthday bash, her mama Melly did a great job with all the details of her celebration. The cake was gorgeous, it was from Rockwell’s bakery, and the polka dot & Minnie Mouse combo was perfect!

I just have to send a special thanks out to my friend, Amber. About a month or so back we shot photos of her and her son, Anthony “the model”. She has been doing a great job as our PR person referring all her friends & family to Sipper Photography. Thank you Amber, you’re the best!

Here we have Amber’s friend April. April has two daughters, Trinity & Kaileigh and her mom, Patricia, who also joined us. It was nice to shoot the three generation of girls, it really makes you appreciate family!

Hello-

Hope everyone is well…it’s Friday so most of you should be happy with the weekend just around the corner! You will probably see a lot of me this weekend at our blog, we have been so busy, so I have several blogs to post with new portrait sittings that we have shot. Also, we were in Vegas last weekend so a “Viva Las Vegas” blog is in order as well.

Playing with the kids…

Hello Kids…

When I was 10 years old I started babysitting a neighbor’s little boy to earn some extra money. Yes, I was young but always ended up being more mature for my age. Over the years, I continued to babysit many little children and become a part of there little lives and it still remains a passionate subject in my photography. During my photographic career I have had many opportunities to photograph children of all ages. From my days as a baby photographer, shooting newborns all they way to the senior’s in high school. They have kept me laughing, making obnoxious noises to get there attention, and yes I sound like an idiot sometimes, but it makes them happy. I have come to understand that photography makes an impression in people’s lives, leaving me feeling very rewarded.

Our blog is meant for people to get to know us, the real us…Jeff & Dana. So, I thought I would share this little part of my heart and hopefully melt yours!

Amber & Ant at Seal Beach Orange County Family Photography

Ya gotta love workin’ at the beach…yesterday we shot pictures of Amber and her son Ant. We spent some time at the Pier and walking in downtown Seal Beach, CA. If there are any modeling agencies out there looking for a great looking kid, look no further because I found him for you. I have exclusive rights to taking his photo’s though…hehehe! Seriously, these two did a wonderful job, wind and all.

Ant is 10 years old, I made him sit on top of the news stands, lay in front of a train…even sit at the bar for dinner at Taco Surf (but it saved us from waiting 30-40 minutes for seating) all and all he was a good sport, he even smiled and took his hat off for a few. That isn’t easy for a 10 year old boy finding his way in the world.

Miss Amber exclaimed she isn’t one for her having her photo taken, but felt 10 years was a long enough time passed never having a portrait of her and her son. I don’t know why she didn’t do it sooner because she did a beautiful job, I think her single days are over.

Anyway, thanks so much to both of you for sharing your special bond with us. Here is what you all have been waiting for, don’t forget to leave us some love.

Franjo, Kylee & Kaitlyn Orange County Family Photographer

Happy Monday to all…

We are just loving the blog thing. It motivates you to shoot as much as possible, so you can keep blogging. I love taking photo’s, photography really is our passion. I am so lucky that I get to share this passion with my hubby. When we were both in school for photography, neither one of us ever dated other artists or thought we would end up marrying another photographer. We wouldn’t ask for it any other way because we both understand what it means to people to have there photo’s of family & friends and the events in there lives.

We love to shoot the bonds between people in beautiful locations. Lately, we have found ourselves in Downtown Orange, it is close by and this one location has a vast amount of possibilities. This weeks session is a little more of Downtown Orange, Urban style. We had a great couple, Franjo & Kylee. Also, Kaitlyn who is Franjo’s 10 year old daughter who is gorgeous. Watch out dad because she will be a heart breaker.

Thanks guys for sharing your afternoon with us. All of you photographed great! By the way, if you like Kylee and Kaitlyn’s hair, Kylee is a hairstylist at The W Salon in Laguna Hills, CA. You can reach her at 949-433-1279 for an appointment. She does my hair as well and I absolutely love it!

Happy 4th of July!

Tonight we ventured out with our neighbors, Franjo & Kylee to see the fireworks here in Orange. Did I mention we rode our bikes down the festivities? How smart are we… we saved money on gas, plus we didn’t have to sit in all the traffic after the grand finale. Jeff got out the trusty tripod and we shot several great pics of the fireworks. We also shot a few of all us in attendance, including a self timed portrait of Jeff & I with our pals. We all had a great time, and it was a great celebration of America. Our only complaint, with all the songs played as a tribute to America, there was no Neil Diamond’s ” We’re Coming to America”, well there is always next year. Here are our photo’s…Enjoy!

Baby Westin-4 weeks old

We are visiting family in Chandler, Arizona this weekend. Pauletta and Baby Westin hung out with us today, and we had the opportunity to take some photo’s of them. Tomorrow, Westin will be 4 weeks old and he is the cutest little thing.
