Oak Hill Park | Danville, CA | Bay Area Family Portraits

We have another great family who joined us on our family portrait day at Oak Hill Park in Danville.  This is our second time shooting with the fabulous Katz Family too.  We have known Matt and Lorraine for a few years now and we have watched their family grow.  It looks like we have another catalog family here with the styling for their family portrait.  I love the argyle sweaters the boys are sporting and I just can’t get enough of this weeping willow tree.  LOVE,LOVE, LOVE it!   It makes for the perfect spot for a family portrait!  Thanks to Matt, Lorraine, Lincoln and Victoria for sharing your family with us once again.  We appreciate all of our clients, especially the ones who come back again.  It is always nice to see you.

One of the best things about our job is we get to travel.  Recently, we scheduled a couple Family Portrait Sessions at Oak Hill Park in Danville for some of our Bay Area clients.  Today we have one of them to share of Julie, Corey and Caleb. This is the second time we have done a portrait  for them.  The first time we shot was in Point Loma, San Diego with their extended family. You can see their previous session by clicking here.  This time we did their session up in their neck of the woods. We just loved the location!

They are such a sweet little family!  I give them props on the styling of their shoot as they look like a family out of a catalog!  Thanks to Julie, Corey and Caleb for coming back for more at Sipper Photography.

50th Anniversary Portrait of Hank+Linda | Orange County Portrait Photographer

Love is in the Air!  With Valentine’s Day tomorrow, I thought this would be a fun one to share!

Recently, Hank and Linda celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  Part of their celebration was having their portrait done by yours truly!  I couldn’t of been more honored to shoot this special couple and document the love they have shared all of these years!  As I was taking their photos, all I could think about was that I wanted Jeff and I to be this in love 40 years from now!!!  The two were so giddy, I loved it!  They held hands and made each other laugh…two people that were so totally meant to be together.  After the photos, Linda was going to take Hank for a drink at Gabby’s in the Orange Circle.  Thanks for sharing your moment with us…

Meet Shannon Smith, Owner and Esthetician of The Beauty Smith

Here you go ladies and gentlemen (yes, you guys can get a facial too)!  Meet Shannon Smith, the owner of The Beauty Smith.  Shannon is a California licensed Esthetician that is right here in Orange County.  She currently, works at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel as well as her own location in Costa Mesa. My skin centre is really great, I have known Shannon for a few years now and she has worked her magic with my skincare as she has done facials for me as well as recommended skincare products for my beauty regimen.  I want my brides to check her out as she can help you prepare your skin for your big day! It is amazing how much having a facial enhances the application of your make-up for photos.

I had the pleasure of shooting a portrait of Shannon for her business.  You have heard me talk about branding photos before and for Shannon, her business is about Bliss and Relaxation.  So we took a relaxed approach for her portrait!  She is just so pretty and I love how her photos turned out…and really this girl has great skin!  Need I say more…

Woodbury Irvine Family Photography

This is a Family Portrait Session we recently shot in Irvine.  What a gorgeous little family!  My job isn’t easy sometimes when part of the portrait session entails chasing a 20 month old around the park, wiping her nose and picking her up after she runs too fast then falls.  It feels like chaos as we are shooting, but my mom always says “Patience is a Virtue”.  Thank goodness I am blessed with the gift of patience as I need it to photograph children.  That is all it takes…haha!!!

Somehow that chaos always turns into the beautiful moments of our lives!  Here is Brandon, Katy, Madison and Avery…

New Orleans Where Y’At Magazine: Wedding Article Feature

For those of you who know us, you know that we LOVE New Orleans! Both Jeff and I have traveled to NOLA on several occasions as we just love that city.  We were just there in October eating some jambalaya and drinking hurricanes, as well as exploring the French Quarter.  This trip we also took a ride out to the beautiful Oak Alley Plantation and saw many other fabulous plantations along the way.  These are such great locations for Weddings in and around the New Orleans area.  One of the hot spots for weddings this past October was in Jackson Square and in the St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter.   What a great back drop to say your I-do’s and do your wedding photography.  Then there is nothing better than after the ceremony when the Treme Brass Band rolls up to start a second line for the couple as they dance and celebrate through the famous streets of the French Quarter including Bourbon Street! We actually joined a few second lines this time as we LOVE that New Orleans Jazz and of course LOVE anything weddings!

With our love for New Orleans and Weddings, one of our goal’s for 2012 is to get there for more weddings this year!  With this goal in mind we were so excited to have been quoted in a recent magazine article about New Orleans Weddings.  Where Y’At Magazine is a local New Orleans publication that recently featured an article about wedding trends in their January 2012 issue.  The local writer, Tyler Lott who is a New Orleans native reached out to us as she wanted our perspective from what we see with wedding trends in Southern California and how they coincide with the trends in New Orleans.  You can see the entire article online at Where Y’At magazine.  In the meantime, look here…it’s The Sipper’s and we are so excited to be a part of New Orleans Weddings too.

A New Home: Family Portrait | Orange County Family Portrait Photographer

Happy New Year to all.  I can’t believe 2012 is here!  It is a new year filled with new possibilities and we are looking forward to it.  We are off to a busy start with our business and can’t wait to share all of the marvelous moments this year with both our existing clients and new ones. Speaking of moments to share, today we have a portrait of the wonderful Chen Family who we have been photographing the last three years.  They have the cute triplets we have featured before, August, Sophia and Tatiana.  The triplets are now three years old and with a bigger family comes a bigger house.  When Samantha had the triplets they started designing and building their new home and this past year they got to move into it.  It is all about moments and since this was a big one, I thought how nice would it be to do their family portrait for the year in their new home.

What a beautiful place.  What a beautiful family.  I love seeing the kids each year as they grow up so fast.  August can “ham it up”, he is usually ready for a photo with a smile and so is his sister Sophia.  Tatiana on the other hand, is the serious one of the group.  So my moments with her are on her terms!  Haha!  Needless to say, I love them all!
