Not so Weekly Wednesday!

Welcome back to, yet another, Weekly Wednesday blog post.  Just looking back, it’s been quite awhile since I’ve thrown one of these out there.  Between being pretty busy, and just forgetting, it occurred to me to update ya’ll on what’s been happening lately!

Is anyone else going to be happy when Lost is over?  I mean, I love Lost, and have since day one.  But, I just want it over and all the questions, answered.  Not that I fully expect them to answer everything, but it’s just starting to frustrate me most weeks!

I wish the weather would make up it’s mind.  Last weekend it was about 84, sunny, and hot.  Today, it’s supposed to be barely 60, and raining.  I guess that’s just spring.

I’ve started up running again.  I had started back in January, did really well for a few weeks, and then got sidetracked.  So far, a week or so in, and I’m feeling pretty good about it.  That being said, I still hate running!  I attempted to get out on my bike last Saturday.  Felt good, until, the hot Santa Ana winds picked up, nearly blowing me off of my bike and into a curb.  If we are friends on Facebook, you might have seen the video I posted.

As most you might know (I think I’ve mentioned it before), I’m part of the OC Daily Photo Blog.  It’s a group of 7 people that each assigned a day, and post up a picture showing  Orange County.  It’s been a fun project, and has forced me to get out from time to time, and shoot for fun, instead of for work.  Some of my shots are better than others, but it’s a fun project nonetheless.  Here are a few I shot a couple weeks ago, on the first day of Spring, while walking around Downtown Santa Ana.  It’s such a cool, and interesting area over there.  I’m definitely going to try and shoot over there more often…

A Fake Polaroid of a small pool hall/bar.  (side note: Polaroid is coming back!  Can not wait!)

One of the newer Loft style buildings they have been building the past few years.  It’s interesting to me how the new and the old co-exist in such a small area.

Johnathon | Orange County Children’s Photography| Head Shots

Happy Monday!  I have a fun session to share of Johnathon as he recently needed head shots and other photos for a talent agency.  Johnathon is a great kid with such a fun personality.  Check this out! He can already pull off quite the “serious” man look too! Wishing Johnathon much success in his future.  Just remember Sipper Photography when you make it big time!  Enjoy, J+D

Temecula Wine Trip

I have a little fun for Monday!  Let’s face it, if you work hard, you should play even harder!   Sometimes we need to slow down and just take a break.  Well, this past weekend I got to do just that.  I had the privilege of joining 14 other fabulous ladies to go wine tasting in style!  The trip came about when a few of us girls mentioned getting together for a wine night.  Well, wine night turned into a wine day trip to Temecula.  The group grew and I had the opportunity to hang out with some of my peeps and also met some new friends!  We stopped at three wineries; Leonesse Cellars, Robert Renzoni Vineyards and Oak Mountain Winery.  It was a fabulous day filled with wonderful wine and people, so I thought it would be nice to share it.  I know some of you love when we share photos from our travels, so this ones for you!  Hope you can escape with me for a few minutes as I share the highlights from my wine tasting adventure.  Cheers, Dana

Here we have Peter+Ginger as they say I do!  The couple recently wed at a beautiful local venue in Orange County, The Clubhouse at Anaheim Hills Golf Course.  This couple does like to golf, but besides sneaking a few photos on some golf carts we weren’t playing the course that day.  Instead, celebrating the marriage of these two fabulous people.  We wish them much happiness & love in their future together!  A big thanks goes out to Peter and Ginger for having us there to document your special day.  Congratulations again!  We hope you enjoy all of your fabulous moments.  Cheers, J+D

Viceroy Hotel Wedding Palm Springs | Jeff + Kacy = Married

Congratulations to our fabulous couple, Jeff + Kacy, who recently shared their vows at The Viceroy Hotel in Palm Springs, CA.  We want to thank them for having us be a part of their day, it was such a pleasure to be around them at this wonderful venue.

I have to say I love the story of meeting in the workplace since it is one near and dear to my heart.  Jeff and I met and started having lunch almost 11 years ago when we worked at a studio together doing Home Depot’s catalog photography.  Well, this is where Jeff and Kacy met too. I mean where do you spend most of your time?  It is bound to happen that near the water cooler, in an elevator, at lunch, or a mere conversation at the passing of your desk may turn into a romance.  So it did for the two that romance struck and Jeff asked Kacy to marry him.  When I heard of his proposal I thought it was the sweetest thing.   Jeff put the ring in a Monopoly game and asked Kacy to play.  Thankfully she said yes to both playing the game that night as well as marrying Jeff because, it brought all of us here to this fabulous day at The Viceroy.

Kacy was such a classy bride and her gown was absolutely stunning, a design by Ines di Santo.  This bride rocked the Hollywood Glam style, love it girl!

This was one of our favorite photos of Kacy, such a fabulous moment and composition with the bride, maid of honor and bride’s grandma!

We just love all of the details!

Here is our handsome Groom, Jeff, almost ready to go!

Jeff and Kacy decided on doing a “first look” and saw each other before the ceremony and shot some photos.  We love doing this because the couple has a chance to see each other for the first time in a beautiful setting.  Just for the two to have a moment!  It brings tears to everyone’s eyes.

Here comes the bride!

Jeff looked so happy to see his bride!

The two meet!

We all loved the Orange Door in this photo!

Our Groom

This is a shot of our bride as I mentioned to look over at her groom Jeff, she just lit up!

It’s ceremony time with the mountain in the background!

So happy to be married, love love love their expressions!

First Dance

I happen to look over at this mirror at one point and saw the reflection of the two dancing.  I just loved that it looked like they were dancing in the room like no one was watching!

Kacy kicked off her shoes while dancing during the reception, so the creative in me took over and here are the rings!

It was a beautiful wedding with a stunning couple at a fabulous venue, who could ask for anything more.  We wish Jeff and Kacy all of the best in their married life together and thank you again for having Sipper Photography be a part of one of the best day of your lives.  We love what we do, cheers to you both!  J+D
