The Yantorn Family

Happy Sunday! Well, I think Fall is officially here. The air is crisp and the leaves are falling…everyday I have to sweep the porch! I guess that is fine though because soon I can get out my scarves and bundle up a bit. I lived in Pennsylvania for 11 years, yes I am a Nittany Lion, go PSU. Back east, it gets chilly right after Labor Day…all the public pools close and we are done with summer and the jackets go on. It amazes me that over the next few months we can still head down to the beach and take pictures. I love it!!!!

Here is a session of a wonderful family, the Yantorn’s who met us down at the beach last week for there family portrait. A big warm thanks goes out to John, Pamela, Jennifer, Brandy, Hayley, Cody & baby Sage (she is soooooo cute). All of you did a great job.

Enjoy ~ J+D

Stacey’s Maternity Portrait Orange County Maternity Photography

This past Sunday, I had an exceptional maternity session. My friend Kylee referred Stacey to me after she exclaimed to her friend that she had to do this! When I received an email from Stacey confirming her sitting, she said she was excited to meet me and that Kylee had nothing but great things to say about us. How great do I feel now, I had never met Stacey, but already felt so honored to share this special moment with her and her baby to be, Aiden.

We went to Laguna Niguel Regional Park, just before sunset, it was so quiet and felt very serene. This location was perfect for the session. Stacey was very easy going, much like us, so we just strolled through the park and stopped at a variety of locations. From the following photos you will have to agree that Stacey did a wonderful job. I just want to say that we thank her so much for letting us be apart of her pregnancy and we can’t wait to meet Baby Aiden.

Here is what you have all been waiting for…

This is our absolute fave…her eyes are gorgeous!

Such a happy smile here!

Love….

Hello-

Hope everyone is well…it’s Friday so most of you should be happy with the weekend just around the corner! You will probably see a lot of me this weekend at our blog, we have been so busy, so I have several blogs to post with new portrait sittings that we have shot. Also, we were in Vegas last weekend so a “Viva Las Vegas” blog is in order as well.

Today I am sharing with you a portrait we took of Efrain, Lei Loris & Aiden that we shot at Newport Beach near Balboa Pier. We are so lucky to once again shoot with such nice people.

Thanks to Efrain, Lei Loris & Aiden for allowing us to be apart of your lives by taking your family portrait!

Here you go…Enjoy!

Dr. Hsu & Her Family Family Photographer Orange County

Happy Wednesday! I know we missed our weekly Wednesday blog last week, but with the Labor day holiday the days just got away from us. It was nice to hear from a couple of people that they missed our blog. Thanks to all of you who are following us every Wednesday, your dedication is appreciated.

Jeff & I have been busy shooting several family portraits and are even branching out into some commercial portraits as well. Recently, we were asked by our eye doctor, Dr. Vanessa Hsu of Private Eyes Optometry to do some pictures at her office for her website. Her photo’s came out great, so she also wanted us to do a family sitting as well.

Here is one of the pictures of her at the office, if anyone needs to check out a new eye doctor, she is located in Orange off of the 55 Fwy and Chapman Avenue…she is great & her staff is very friendly.

So, not only is her office great, but she has a wonderful family as well. During the Labor Day Holiday weekend we met up with all of them at Irvine Park and took some family photo’s! It was a great time, the kids were a lot of fun and everyone looked great! We even got to check out the ponies at the end, the kids were so well behaved during the sitting that we thought they deserved a pony ride.

I love what I do and it is even better when you get the chance to work with amazing people. At the end of the sitting we thanked Dr. Hsu and her Family for letting us take there pictures, I squatted down to the kids and her little boy gave me a hug and said good-bye to me. My heart was so full and it reminded me how much I love photography and the impression it makes on peoples lives (even little people)…this is why I do what I do!

Here you go…enjoy!

Pony Rides anyone???

Sean, Jessie & Foster Orange County Family Photography

Hello to all…

Just wanted to share with you a new portrait session we had with Sean, Jessica & Foster this past Sunday. I shot these over the course of 1 1/2 hours at various park locations in Ladera Ranch, CA. We all took our turn chasing Foster around, he is about 16 months old, so his little feet go wherever they take him. Sean, Jessie & I had quite the workout when all was said and done. It felt like all we did was chase Foster around, but the images show all the brief moments I could catch of a toddler on the go.

Thanks again to Sean & Jessica for all your patience and sweat through the shoot, but I would have to say it was worth it. Let us know what you think by leaving us a comment.

Amber & Ant at Seal Beach Orange County Family Photography

Ya gotta love workin’ at the beach…yesterday we shot pictures of Amber and her son Ant. We spent some time at the Pier and walking in downtown Seal Beach, CA. If there are any modeling agencies out there looking for a great looking kid, look no further because I found him for you. I have exclusive rights to taking his photo’s though…hehehe! Seriously, these two did a wonderful job, wind and all.

Ant is 10 years old, I made him sit on top of the news stands, lay in front of a train…even sit at the bar for dinner at Taco Surf (but it saved us from waiting 30-40 minutes for seating) all and all he was a good sport, he even smiled and took his hat off for a few. That isn’t easy for a 10 year old boy finding his way in the world.

Miss Amber exclaimed she isn’t one for her having her photo taken, but felt 10 years was a long enough time passed never having a portrait of her and her son. I don’t know why she didn’t do it sooner because she did a beautiful job, I think her single days are over.

Anyway, thanks so much to both of you for sharing your special bond with us. Here is what you all have been waiting for, don’t forget to leave us some love.

Time to catch the bus…actually we went to Taco Surf! THE END, thanks again to Amber & Ant.
