Sipper Photography in OC Business Journal + Forbes

Sipper Photography has been nominated for the Orange County Business Journal’s 2010 Excellence in Entrepreneurs Awards. This is the 9th annual award celebration to recognize OC Entrepreneurs.   We are thrilled to be a part of this and honored to share the company of many other fabulous Orange County business owners.  An awards luncheon will take place on March 17th to announce the EIE winners, so wish us luck!  Our sincere thanks to everyone who continues to support us at Sipper Photography.  Your love and support is greatly appreciated!  Thanks, J+D

Meeting Tommy Lasorda | Orange County Event Photographer

February 12, 2010 – 2:00 pm

Happy Friday everyone!  We hope you all have a fun Valentine’s holiday planned.  Jeff and I will be visiting Palm Springs this weekend for some work and then a little R&R!  We are so excited to shoot Jeff and Kacy’s wedding tomorrow at The Viceroy Hotel, this is our first wedding of the year and it is going to be fabulous.  Since we were staying over for the wedding, we decided to take an extra day to stay and celebrate Valentine’s Day and relax.  I can’t believe with all of the bad weather we have been having across the country, Palm Springs will be a beautiful 75 degrees for the wedding and almost 80 degrees for the rest of the weekend.  What to pack??? LOL  Whatever you are doing this weekend, in the snow or the warmth, remember to celebrate your loved ones!

Here is a little Friday Fun I thought I would share.  I recently had the opportunity to do a shoot for Argosy University and the Orange Chamber and met Baseball Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda, yes Mr. Dodger himself.  What an honor to shoot this event and hear Tommy speak.  That man loves baseball!  He reminded me of my dad, always could talk about baseball and his team.  In my dad’s case it was the Yankees, but the passion was just the same, he loved baseball and all of the history that went with the game.

I snapped several photos of Tommy speaking and even got a photo with him myself.  My friend Tanya of Design Action Studios was also there and put together a little video montage of the event and his speech which you can view here.  If you like baseball, especially the Dodger’s you want to watch this!

Tanya of Design Action Studios | Orange County Business Portraits

It is a new year for all of us, so why not put your best face forward.  Recently, Tanya of Design Action Studios contacted us to do an updated business portrait for use on her website and all of her social media accounts.  I just love going to Twitter or FaceBook and seeing a profile photo that we shot!  :-)   It is important for your business to create a brand and stick to it!  I mean this is what you are going to be all about, right?  Depending on your type of business, you may display a head shot of yourself.  This way people can recognize who you are as a business owner and develop a trust in your services.  This is where we come in!  If you need a professional head shot or want to update your current one, please contact us!  We would love to help.

It’s business time, Business Portraits, Orange County, CA

It’s Monday and it’s business time! As most of you know Jeff and I are a very easy-going and casual couple who likes to have fun. As you scroll through our website and blog at  Sipper Photography you will see a more relaxed lifestyle portrait when it comes to engagement and family portrait sessions. We have carried this style through to our business portraits as well, so your profile photos are more relaxed, fun and show the real you.

Recently, we put together this collage of some individual portraits that have been used for both personal and business use. Most of these were shot for various business people in Orange County to promote their business. Some wanted a nice casual shot as well for use on many of their social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.  It seems like it is so important these days to put a face to a name. I know in the photography business it is great for your clients to see a photo of you while they are looking at your website or blog. It allows for more of a personal experience and it makes them feel like they already know you when they actually meet you. I don’t know how many times people have mentioned the shot of Jeff and I against the brick wall, you can see it here. They always remember that was Sipper Photography, J+D. We have learned a great profile photo is a very important part of your branding and what you want to represent as an individual or company.

We have worked with many great people and have had our photos in various magazines, brochures and online for websites, blogs and social media sites. We love what we do and it is a fabulous feeling knowing that we are helping to make others successful.
