Sebastiani Winery Wedding Photography | Alex+Brianne=Married

A big congratulations to Alex+Brianne on their new marriage.  I was honored to witness such a fabulous day in their lives and when I say witness, I mean witness!  Yes, not only did I photograph this wonderful day but I also signed the marriage license and made the marriage official.  We absolutely love what we do, but to be the one to witness this love and seal it was a great honor.

Brianne had contacted me from Indiana and told me they were going to elope to Sonoma, CA to get married and needed a photographer.  They chose Sebastiani Winery to say their vows and it was absolutely beautiful.  These two are a very simple couple, who were fun loving and wanted something that just suited the two of them.  So, they decided to elope to Sonoma, and then have a wedding reception at home when they returned to share the moment with family and friends.   I was so excited for the wedding and when I met the two on that day, we instantly clicked.

So the story begins, at Sebastiani Winery such a beautiful location.  One gorgeous bride & her dress, a handsome groom, a bouquet of flowers, the rings, an officiant, photographer (witness), a wine barrel and the wine!  It was absolutely perfect!

We met Alex in front of the tasting room to capture a few pre-ceremony moments.  These two were such a cute couple!

This is one of my favorite shots of the two!

A little wine for the occasion…cheers to you both!

Arbor Park is where the ceremony took place, what a great spot!

The two walked out to the lawn near the wine barrel and the ceremony began!

Alex with his bride!

Happy tears, such a fabulous moment!

During the ceremony, the minister performed a wine celebration for the two.  She expressed that wine has been used for decades to celebrate happy moments.  This glass shared was the symbol of the two becoming one, as they share their first glass from the open bottle together after their vows!

Here was a moment I caught just after the ceremony.

Cheers to a fabulous couple!

The rings!

Then off to the Vineyards for a few romantic shots.  I just love wine country!

Alex+Brianne = A Sneak-Peek | Sebastiani Winery, Sonoma

Good Morning!  Looking back we have been on the go a lot over the past several weeks.   Today is L.A as we celebrate my Cousin Adrian’s college graduation.  I am so proud of him!  I watched my little cousin grow up into a fine young man and though we have about a 14 year age difference between the two of us, we were always close.   It is a pleasure to have him in our family, but Jeff & I also love to just  hang out with him and chill as friends do.  Adrian is about to open a new chapter in his life with his film studies and start on his career in Hollywood.  He is truly talented and we wish him all the best in his feature endeavors.  Much love to you Coz, cheers!

Speaking of on-the-go…here is a little sneak-peek from the wedding we did in Sonoma a few days ago.  Congrats to Alex+Brianne as they start a new chapter in their lives too.  This shot was taken in Arbor Park where they had their ceremony at Sebastiani Winery.   Such a beautiful place to say your vows!  Please check back as we will have more photos posted this week from their wedding story.  Cheers, J+D

Shola+Ladun | A Surprise Engagement Proposal

What a pleasure it was to be a part of Shola’s surprise engagement proposal.   As I spoke with Shola a couple of weeks prior to the proposal, he had his whole plan on how he was going to get Ladun from work, dressed for a dinner date, and to the spot he picked where he was going to “pop the question”!  He wanted us to be there to photograph the whole event.  I thought it was a special way to document that moment forever and share it with their friends & family.  We were truly honored that Shola included us in his proposal.

As the limo pulled up, Shola was ready with the ring in hand.

Our job was to “hide in the bushes” so to speak, until the proposal was actually made.   He didn’t want Ladun to know we were there.  We were able to capture a few moments leading up to the proposal.  We also got shots of when Shola dropped down on one knee, as well as all of the happiness that was shared afterward.  It really was a fabulous experience for everyone as we documented this special moment between Shola and Ladun.  We hope you enjoy the story as much as we did.  Congratulations to Shola+Ladun on your engagement, we are so happy for you both!  Thank you so much for having us be a part of this special moment in your life.  Cheers, J+D

A moment just before the proposal!

My eyes teared up, as Shola dropped to one knee and proposed!

Shola was so excited to give Ladun that ring!  She still doesn’t know we are there!:-)

Shola tells Ladun that we have been photographing the entire proposal!  This was our cue it was safe to come out and celebrate.

A little moment as they walk up to meet with us!  Ladun was so surprised with everything, it was so exciting!

These two are a fabulous couple.  The proposal was a huge success, not only did she say “yes”, but it was a total surprise.  Shola had this infectious laugh, that just made me smile.  The two really enjoyed their moment as they were so happy and in love.  Here are a few shots just after the proposal of the two celebrating their engagement.

This was a fun story, as we were shooting the moment on the left.  These guys were walking across the bridge.  I waved them to go by so we wouldn’t hold them up, but they said, “No worries, we wanna watch.”  I mentioned they just got engaged and they walked closer with their bottle and said “I got your back my brother” and so this bottle of Absolut Vodka appears in our shot.  Shola and Ladun just laughed and went with the moment.  I commented  “I like how they party” and our friend with the Absolut Vodka replied, “What Can I say, we’re boat people”!  He proceeded to give Ladun a hug and congratulated them both.  It was a great moment!

Seconds later, Ladun was already showing off her ring!  She was one happy girl!

The two admire the ring!

Embracing the moment.  All I could think is there is nothing better than this!

A little stroll before they leave for dinner!

All we need is love!
