I love this time of year! We get to share so many fabulous moments with our families doing all of their holiday portraits.  Each year we meet new families and also see some families we have seen before.  Here we have my friend Melly’s family.  Her daughter Amy has been in front of my camera several times and now they have added baby Rayden. This past May I took his newborn photos when he was only a day old and now he is already six months old! This is the first family photo of the whole family and we even included grandpa this time. I just love Chris’ dad, he was so happy to take the photos with the kids and just couldn’t stop thanking me.

Capturing these moments are so important. I can’t express enough how happy I am to have this gift that I can share with all of you. I am thankful everyday that I can do something I truly love.  We wish all of you a holiday season filled with many happy moments. Happy weekend to all of you!  This evening I want to share with you Miss Keira’s first birthday portrait session.  We met this family about 6 months ago when we photographed them for Keira’s 6 month portrait.  I was so excited to see how much Keira had changed, she had grown so much and is now becoming her own little person.  Matt, Kristel and Keira are such a wonderful family and I can’t wait to continue watching Keira grow.  Kids change so quickly in their first year and grow up so fast.  With these precious photos, she will stay your little girl forever.  Thanks so much to Matt and Kristel for sharing your daughters one year celebration with us.  J+D

Here is one of our favorite families, back this year again to do portraits for their holiday card. We just love to visit with our past clients, it is great to see the kids another year older and how they have changed. Tommy is now in Kindergarten and Lauren has grown out of her shyness a bit. We had a great session filled with many laughs and I just loved Lisa and Lauren’s matching sweater dresses and boots. Those girls looked “Fab”!

We are in full swing for the holiday portrait season and we have had some wonderful families so far. Julie contacted me from the Bay Area wanting to do a family session on their next visit to San Diego. Her mom and dad live near Point Loma, in the beautiful San Diego area. We decided on the Point Loma Lighthouse area as the backdrop for their session. It was such an awesome location for their family to share a few moments because it was a place they hung out as a family when her and her siblings were still at home.
